Data Analysis and Modelling in Earth Sciences (DAMES 2010)
The objective of the conference is to bring together researchers dealing with data analysis and modelling in all fields of Earth Sciences, promoting the exchange of knowledge on both methodological developments and Earth Science applications.
Specific topics may come from all fields of Earth Sciences, including atmospheric sciences, present-day and palaeo-climatology, meteorology, hydrology, oceanography, geodynamics, seismology, and solar-terrestrial physics. Contributions on applied topics such as environmental risk analysis, electricity networks, or sustainability sciences are encouraged.
To particularly encourage the participation of young scientists, the meeting will be preceded on 20 and 21 September by a Short Course on methodological topics. This course is particularly aimed at young scientists and researchers from all fields of Earth sciences interested in practical data analysis and modelling approaches.
