Research at LISA, which concentrates on understanding how atmospheric systems work, is centred around two main areas: the study of the chemical composition of gases and particles in the terrestrial troposphere in connection with environmental problems (especially air pollution), and the organic physical chemistry of planetary environments in connection with the field of exo/astrobiology.
