This conference is organized jointly by the AEC and the University of Salamanca.

The goal of the conference is to present research regarding the following fields:

- Model evaluations and projections at global and regional scales;
- Climate reconstruction techniques;
- Data analysis and pre-processing;
- Variations and trends at different time-scales: interdecadal, interannual, seasonal and shorter periods;
- Extreme events derived from temperature and hydrological variables, such as droughts;
- Causes of climate variability including teleconnections;
- Impacts of climate change on the environment and ecosystems.

Abstracts related to:

- Scenarios and climate models
- Paleoclimate and historical climate
- Climate variability and extremes
- Climate impacts

are welcomed for submission by January 31st, 2012.
